Charter of Peter the Great to the Monastery of Rakovica

COLLECTION OF ARCHIVALIA
The
Collection of Archivalia preserved in the Historical Museum of Serbia
covers the period from 1804 to present days and includes over 2000 items.
Consisting
mostly of personal documents related to the outstanding individuals of
modern Serbian state, the collection also reveals interesting state and
private correspondence characteristic for certain periods of the last two
hundred years of Serbian history.
Hence
among the documents the charters issued by Austrian and Russian authorities
to the prominent Serbs, the most valuable of which is that of Peter the
Great issued to the Monastery of Rakovica, then protocols taken at the
meetings of Karadjordje and his leaders, private correspondence of Prince Milos
and his wife Princess Ljubica, of Prince Mihailo and his wife Princes Julija,
obituaries of the members of the Obrenovic family, drafts of laws,
receipts, decrees, various certificates, land property titles, IDs, passports,
membership cards, stocks, guild certificates, etc.
